I think my garage door has a broken spring. But I don’t know what type of spring system.

There are Three basic Spring Systems:

Torsion Spring (a long spring that the shaft goes through mounted above your garage door.)
Extension Spring (goes from front to back next to the horizonal track near the ceiling.)
Torque Master Spring System – Used on some Wayne Dalton Garage Doors – Patented Spring System (Torsion spring installed in a metal tube. You cannot see the spring.) Because we are a Wayne Dalton dealer, we can get the spring quickly.
